The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for individual islands within Maui County in January 2014 included: Maui Island, 5.0%; Molokaʻi, 6.9%; and Lānaʻi, 3%, according to DLIR data.

The state Council on Revenues yesterday downgraded its revenue forecast for Hawaiʻi to flat growth in 2014.

Maui Economic Opportunity announced the receipt of a $150,000 three-year grant from The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to support its Being Empowered and Safe Together prisoner reintegration program.

State Employment Forecast to Expand by 4%

The state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations today released a report that forecasts an employment expansion in Hawaiʻi of 4% for the two-year period ending in the first quarter of 2015.
