Blue Hawaiian Helicopter Tours has reached a settlement with the Robertson family, one of the victims of a five-person fatal crash on Molokai on Nov. 10, 2011.

MEDB Education Fund awards $90,000 in STEM grants

The MEDB Ke Alahele Education Fund issued awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to 24 programs this school year, in an effort to expand STEM education programs and careers in Maui County.

The greatest number of homes sold in February were in Kīhei where 17 homes sold for a median price of $580,000, followed by Central Maui where 15 homes sold for a median of $404, 195, according to RAM data.

The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for individual islands within Maui County in January 2014 included: Maui Island, 5.0%; Molokaʻi, 6.9%; and Lānaʻi, 3%, according to DLIR data.
