Gasoline prices are falling in Hawaii and nationally and are expected to continue heading downward.

Monsanto Donates $44,800 to Human Services on Maui

The Monsanto Fund, the philanthropic arm of the Monsanto Company, issued a total of $44,800 in grant funds to various county agencies and non-profit groups on Maui, the company announced.

Maui Visitor Spending Up 9.1%; Arrivals Up 3.9%

Visitor spending on Maui is up more than 9% so far this year, and visitor arrivals are up nearly 4%, according to year-to-date figures released this week by the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority.

Free Workshop Focuses on Business with Korean Visitors

The County of Maui Mayor’s Office of Economic Development will host a business workshop in October entitled, “On the Horizon: Visitors from Korea.” The workshop runs from 1 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in Kāʻanapali.
