Business Banking Report Claims Economy Getting Stronger

The most recent First Hawaiian Bank Business Activity Report shows a 10.81% increase in first quarter “same store sales” over one year ago, making it the strongest first quarter in the past four years.

Following reforestation efforts on Kahoolawe, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is now partnering with Hawaiian Legacy Hardwoods (HLH), to save the native koa trees and forests that once occupied on the slopes of Mauna Kea on the Big Island.

The median price of a home sold on Maui declined in March to $508,000, while condominium prices increased to $375,000, according to statistics released by the Realtors Association of Maui on Saturday.
