Bond Sale Generates Millions in Savings for Maui

Agsalog said that of the $75 million in proceeds, $51 million will fund new and ongoing capital improvement projects, and $24 million will go toward refunding.

A limited number of vendor slots are available, with information sessions scheduled to take place from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 8 and 15, at the Cameron Center in Wailuku.

The station is open to the public around the clock, and is the first open access charging station on the island. That means drivers are not required to sign up for a membership or subscription to use the charger.

The Yogurtland store in Kahului closed its doors on Friday after more than four years in business. The company will continue to operate its location at the Whaler’s Village in Kāʻanapali.

The Island of Maui in Maui County recorded a slightly lower rate of 4.6% in May 2014, up from the 4.5% rate recorded in April, and down from the 4.8% rate reported in May of last year.

Sunstone Hotel Investors today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the 544-room Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in South Maui for a net purchase price of $325.7 million.
