Effective February 1, the north end of the parking lot at Ma’alaea Triangle will go to paid parking, according to an announcement by the Maui Ocean Center today.

Total visitor expenditures for Maui in 2012 increased 18.8% to $3.6 billion, according to preliminary statistics released by the Hawaiian Tourism Authority.
