Hawaiian’s Fare Restructure Lowers Neighbor Island Prices

Hawaiian Airlines today implemented a new fare structure for neighbor island travel that lowers ticket prices across all of its fare classes from 4% to 25%.

For the just ended 2012 fiscal year, general fund deposits to the State of Hawaii are up by 14.9% compared with the 2011 fiscal year.

According to the US Census Bureau, total business establishments in Maui decreased 2% from 4,422 establishments in 2005 to 4,332 in 2010.
