University of Hawaii offensive coordinator Tommy Lee announced his retirement from coaching effective immediately. Lee, a Honolulu native who has a coaching resume that spans more than 40 years, spent his only season with the Warriors as offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach.

SMU coach June Jones walked out of Aloha Stadium with another win Monday, thanks largely to a disruptive performance by defensive end Margus Hunt that set the tone for the Mustangs’ 43-10 win over Fresno State in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.

Ole Miss scored 10 unanswered points late in the game to pull away for a 81-66 win over Hawaii in the fifth-place game of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic Christmas Day at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Wisconsin is set to introduce Utah State’s Gary Andersen as its new football coach on Friday, Dec. 21, and former Baldwin High School coach/player Chad Kauhaahaa is reportedly going to join him in Madison.

In a tale of two halves, Corona High School of Calif. got the best of King Kekaulike in the second half, outscoring the Upcountry school 33-10 en route to a 60-33 win Saturday night in the championship game of the St. Anthony Invitational boys basketball tournament at War Memorial Gym.
