The only thing Baldwin High School quarterback Keelan Ewaliko didn’t do Friday night at War Memorial Stadium . . . was sell popcorn at halftime.

Hāna High School decided to hāna’i the sport of 8-man football and almost three months ago the coaches pumped air into the school’s first footballs.

University of Hawai’i Warrior football head coach Norm Chow recapped the team’s loss at Brigham Young and previewed this Saturday’s Mountain West contest at San Diego State at his weekly press conference earlier this week.

King Kekaulike Outlasts Baldwin in Five Games

In the end, it was a block here, a kill there, and an error by Baldwin that allowed King Kekaulike to close out a see-saw, five-game match Tuesday night on the Bears’ home floor, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, 17-25, 15-12.

Video recap of last weekend’s Maui Interscholastic League football games. On Friday, Sept. 28, Lahainaluna defeated King Kekaulike at Kekaulike Stadium, 42-0. The win extended Lahainaluna’s shutout/win streak to five. On Saturday, Sept. 29, Kamehameha Maui held off Maui High 21-14. The Warriors improved to 2-3 and the Sabers fell to 2-3.
