Video recap of last weekend’s Maui Interscholastic League football games. On Friday, Sept. 28, Lahainaluna defeated King Kekaulike at Kekaulike Stadium, 42-0. The win extended Lahainaluna’s shutout/win streak to five. On Saturday, Sept. 29, Kamehameha Maui held off Maui High 21-14. The Warriors improved to 2-3 and the Sabers fell to 2-3.

For a time being, it looked like the recent streak of dramatic finishes between Kamehameha Maui and Maui High School would continue.

The University of Hawai’i football team could not contain Stefphon Jefferson and the Nevada Wolf Pack in a 69-24 loss, Saturday, in a nationally televised game at Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium.

Seabury Hall dropped the hammer on St. Anthony in form of junior running back Cayde Omura, who accounted for four touchdowns and more than half the Spartans’ total offense en route to a 61-6 victory in 8-man football Thursday at War Memorial Stadium.

UH Opens MWC Play Versus Nevada Saturday on NBC

The University of Hawai’i Warrior football team will play its first Mountain West Conference game when it hosts Nevada, Saturday, Sept. 22 at Hawaiian Airlines Field at Aloha Stadium. The game will be televised nationally on NBC Sports Network and will kick off at 4:30 p.m.
