For the second straight year, Maui’s Kaluka Maiava will not finish the season on the Oakland Raiders’ active roster.

The victory was twice as nice for seniors Sarah Colbaugh, Molie Glass, and team captain Gina Marzo who celebrated their last home game and senior day with lei and balloons.

The Maui department of Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for the 2015 South Maui youth basketball program. The program is open to boys and girls ages 5 to 14 years old.

The Maui Interscholastic League’s two newest football programs gave a spirited effort Saturday afternoon at War Memorial Stadium, with Lanai High School prevailing over Kihei Charter 54-19.

Last summer Keanan Luis decided to step up his offseason workouts. All that sweat, sore muscles, and early hours training paid dividends for the Baldwin High School football team on Friday at King Kekaulike Stadium.
