Tickets for the Maui Academy of Performing Artʻs rendition of the Broadway musical Into the Woods are now on sale.

The show will run from Aug. 24 until Sept. 2 at the Maui Arts & Cultural Centerʻs Castle Theater. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday shows begin at 3 p.m.

MAPA produced the show with the help of the Makana Aloha Foundation, a local family organization committed to improving the Maui community. The show is directed by MAPAʻs own David C. Johnston with music direction by Gary W. Leavitt.

According to the show website, Into the Woods is an enchanting story for all ages to enjoy. The website also advises for parental discretion, as some parts of the play may be inappropriate for children under the age of 10.

Tickets can be purchased at the MACC Box Office from Tuesday through Saturday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. or online. Ticket costs range between $22, $44, and $66 plus applicable fees, based on seating preference.

Students with a valid ID will receive a special of $20 on any seat on opening night and a 25 percent discount on tickets for the other shows. For more information, contact the MACC at 808-242-SHOW.
