Input invited on the role of tourism in supporting Maui’s recovery

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority will hold a community meeting to discuss proposed actions for tourism in support of Maui’s recovery. The meeting will be held at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Morgado Hall on Monday, Dec. 4, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Maui Mayor Michael Victorino has submitted another request to Governor David Ige to ease restrictions in the County of Maui Public Health Emergency Rules. Details are forthcoming. If approved, the effective date for changes would be Nov. 5, 2021.

Maui Nui Destination Management Action Plan Community Meetings

Residents of Maui, Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi are invited to join HTA and the Maui Visitors and Convention Bureau at the upcoming Maui Nui Destination Management Action Plan community meetings to share their views on tourism’s future direction for each island.

Senate Ways and Means Committee to Conduct Site Visits on Maui, Oct. 18-20

The Senate Committee on Ways and Means will be traveling to Maui on Oct. 18-20, 2021 to conduct site visits at various state and private facilities.

Developed by the residents of Kauaʻi, and in partnership with the County of Kauaʻi and Kauaʻi Visitors Bureau, the DMAP serves as a guide to rebuild, redefine and reset the direction of tourism on the Garden Island.
