Maui Fire Department says Lahaina fire 100% contained

The Maui Fire Department said the total estimated amount of acres for the Lahaina fire is around 2,170.

Maui County officials identified two more victims in the Aug. 8 Lahaina fire Monday, bringing the total to 45.

County says 388 individuals have been validated as unaccounted for after Lahaina wildfire disaster

Maui County officials say they have validated 388 individuals who have been reported as unaccounted for from the Aug. 8 Lahaina wildfire disaster. “We’re releasing this list of names today because we know that it will help with the investigation,” said Police Chief John Pelletier. “We also know that once those names come out, it can and will cause pain for folks whose loved ones are listed. This is not an easy thing to do, but we want to make sure that we are doing everything we can to make this investigation as complete and thorough as possible.”

Molokaʻi Brushfire Almost Extinguished

Firefighters are still on scene on Molokai putting out hot spots from a 15 acre brushfire that started Wednesday afternoon.

Brushfire Above Hanaka‘ō‘ō Quickly Contained

Honoapiilani reopened following brush fires below Kapalua airport & below Lahaina Fire Station

Makawao brush fire burns 3 acres of pasture land
