A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for all Hawaiian Islands through this afternoon as an upper level low moves over the western portion of the island chain today.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Flood advisory for the islands of Maui and Lānaʻi until 7 p.m. HST.

Stalled Motorists, Flooded Bridge in South Maui

We received reports of flooding near the Kīhei Bay Vista property as well as the wetland area just south of the old Maui Lu property in North Kīhei.

UPDATE: Maui Flood Warning Expires

Weather radar indicates that the heaviest rain has pushed offshore. Therefore the Flash Flood Warning will be allowed to expire at 1030 PM. Light to occasional moderate rainfall continues however, and, minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas may continue for the next hour or two.

Satellite Offices to Extend Hours Amid Flood Repairs at Kahului DMV

Starting Monday, March 14, 2016, hours of operation of the Pukalani, Kīhei and Lahaina DMVL satellite offices will be from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The satellite offices will also open for a half-day on Saturdays, starting on March 19th, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Maui Flood Advisory Extended Until 9:30 p.m.

At 2:43 p.m., radar showed moderate to heavy rain, mainly over windward Haleakalā, and also affecting the Hana slopes and coastline.

Flood Advisory Until 3:15 p.m. Sept. 6

NWS forecasters say radar at 12:10 p.m. showed a line of heavy rain extending from ʻUlupalakua to Hāmoa, and affecting the south slopes of Haleakalā.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service say radar at 2:59 p.m. showed areas of heavy showers and thunderstorms with rain falling at rates of more than two inches per hour.
