Downed tree and fallen electric lines on Hāna Highway in Nāhiku

Mile 26 on Hāna Highway (Route 360) is blocked by debris and fallen electric lines. The state Department of Transportation reports that clean up may last for an extended time. Hawaiian Electric has been notified. The public should stay at least 30 feet away from fallen electric lines.

Downed tree and power line results in closure of Kekaulike Avenue

Kekaulike Avenue is closed from  Kula Highway to Waipoli Road, due to a large tree on a power line that’s blocking the entire roadway.

Downed power lines force closure of Lower Kula Road

Lower Kula Road is closed in both directions from Copp Road to Malia Iokepa Place due to downed power lines across the roadway. There is no estimated time on when the road will reopen.

Widespread power outages on Maui

Power restoration continues: As of 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, outages continued in parts of Kīhei, pockets in Kahului, Haʻikū, Olowalu, Olinda and Pi’iholo areas. Hawaiian Electric reports that crews will be working on repairs this morning to restore power to remaining customers.

High Winds Down Power Pole Upcountry 3/10/10
