Front St. Planter Installation to Result in Temporary Traffic Impacts

The Department of Parks and Recreation is improving the 0.494 acre parcel for passive shoreline recreation. The property was acquired by the County of Maui by Resolution in April 2007 in a settlement of a state lawsuit and appeal.

Front Street Sewer Line Projects Begin in May

Two sewer line replacement projects begin along Front Street in Lahaina next month. Both projects were designed to minimize impacts to traffic in the area by scheduling night work and waiting until nearby schools were out for summer break to start the project.

The marine life artist known as Wyland will be in residence on August 19, from 6:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. to unveil some new works and mingle with guests at the Lahaina Wyland Gallery on Front Street.
