The Hawai‘i Department of Health (DOH) will conduct the 2026 Hawai‘i Teen Health and Media Survey over the next two months. Information collected will be used to develop and improve health programs and services for Hawaiʻi’s youth.

Update/Open: Department of Health closes Maui Beach Ballroom due to cockroach infestation

Update (8:26 a.m., Jan. 16, 2026) The Hawai‘i Department of Health Maui Food Safety Branch issued Maui Beach Ballroom a green placard on Jan. 15, 2026, authorizing its reopening after a follow-up inspection showed the cockroach infestation to be eliminated. All areas of harborage and attractant within the kitchen were also observed to be cleaned and repaired.
