Rep. Gabbard Introduces HIRE Vets Act

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D, 2nd District) and Rep. Paul Cook (R, CA-8th District) introduced the HIRE Vets Act of 2015 (H.R. 3286). This bipartisan bill would promote a voluntary and efficient program of private sector recruiting, hiring and retaining of veterans who served honorably in the US military.

Gov. Ige in Japan to Promote Travel Expansion

Gov. David Ige is meeting with Japan’s prime minister as well as travel industry partners, corporations and businesses today during his first full day in Tokyo, Japan, to promote and discuss expanded travel to the Hawaiian Islands and proposed pre-clearance of flights from Japan, which would ease access to the Hawaiian Islands and the Mainland.
