Krank Cycles Maui, in partnership with Jim Falk Motors, invites the community to join the Jim Falk Keiki Christmas Bike Build, Saturday, Nov. 23, at Calvary Central (behind the old sugarcane mill) in Puʻunēnē. Starting at 9 a.m., volunteers will assemble and distribute nearly 500 bicycles to Maui children, focusing on those affected by the Lahaina and Maui wildfires.

While West Maui and fire-affected parts of Kula remain no place for visitors — with teams still searching for remains from the Lahaina fire and the recovery in the early stages — the rest of the island was unharmed by the fires but now is reeling from the abrupt loss of tourists that is causing people to lose their jobs and businesses to struggle.

Krank Cycles Maui is seeking volunteers to help assemble 400 bicycles for a Christmas giveaway for deserving keiki in Maui County.

For the fifth consecutive year, Maui car dealer Jim Falk gifted hundreds of brand new bicycles to deserving island kids in a surprise Christmas giveaway.

In gifting the bikes, Jim Falk, owner of Valley Isle Motors, said there were “no strings attached… all you need to do is do something nice for somebody else.”

Confusion quickly turned to surprise, smiles, and cheers, when the owner of the car dealership, Jim Falk, announced that the “new wheels” were for all 240 of the kids who had arrived by busload from six Boys & Girls Clubs on Maui.
