The Hawai‘i State Department of Labor & Industrial Relations (DLIR) has launched a web-based directory of Green Employers as part of its Hawai‘i Green Jobs Initiative.

Dr. Leroy Laney told an audience at First Hawaiian Bank’s Business Outlook Forum on Oahu Friday that Hawaii’s 2012 outlook is for a slower recovery than was envisioned just a few months ago.

Sustainable Living Institute Keeps Pace with Green Jobs Growth

With more than 2,500 “green” jobs on Maui, and an estimated additional 437 more jobs by 2012 coming from “green job” fields, UH Maui College’s Sustainable Living Institute of Maui (SLIM) and VITEC are partnering to prepare Maui’s workforce to make the transition.
