The Shops at Wailea will continue its series of free live performances throughout August, featuring a mix of local award-winning artists in its open-air venue.

To cap off Friday’s community-inspired events honoring Lahaina, upwards of 500 people attended “Puana Aloha no Lahaina” at the Lahaina Civic Center on Friday night.

Author and early childhood specialist Lori Abreu read her children’s book “Moʻo and Koholā” to the preschoolers at the Maui Economic Opportunity Head Start Makawao center on Thursday.

The winners of the 46th Annual Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards were announced during a ceremony held Saturday at the Hawaiʻi Theatre. Big winners this year were Natalie Ai Kamauu and Wehilei.

Hawaiʻi Youth Symphony is now accepting registrations from young musicians for its prestigious Pacific Music Institute summer program.

The show will be available via livestream worldwide and takes place at Hawaiʻi Theatre with a limited in-person audience on Saturday, Aug. 7, at 6 p.m.

The Baldwin Home Museum’s free Hawaiian music series will be featuring Kala’e Camarillo and Robi Kahakalau on Thursday, Feb. 27 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. 

Lahaina Restoration Foundation’s free monthly Hawaiian Music Series concert will feature the vocals of Kala‘e Camarillo on Thursday, June 29 at the Baldwin Home
