The temporary water service interruption is a portion of DHHL’s $37 million capital improvement project aimed at improving Molokaʻi’s 80-year-old Hoʻolehua Water System.

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will receive $1.59 million in USDA funding to improve water infrastructure of the Hoʻolehua Water System on Molokaʻi.

HB451 would allow a Lessee to designate a spouse, child, grandchild, brother or sister with a blood quantum of one 32nd Hawaiian as a successor to the lease.

Funding allocation includes: $37.5 million for design and construction for new high school in Kīhei; $770,000 for air conditioning and improvements at Lahainaluna High school; and $1.95 million for improvements at Maui High School.

Fire crews on Molokai helped to secure a roof back in place after a 20′ x 20′ section blew off the top of a home in Kalamaula.

The County of Maui Department of Water Supply (DWS) is urging all residents and businesses in Kaunakakai, Kalae, Hoolehua, Kualapuu, Kipu, and Kalamaula, Molokai to use water for health and safety purposes only while the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) well pumps are out of service.  At this time the DWS Kualapuu Well is […]
