#Maui Arts and Cultural Center events

Tickets for the upcoming Maui Pops Orchestra concert series at the MACC’s Castle Theater go on sale Oct. 6.

The Maui Arts and Cultural Center’s Schaefer International Gallery will host two concurrent exhibitions, “Chenta Laury: Adaptive Frameworks” and “Holly Wong: Mending Body / Mending Mind,”featuring diverse fiber, sculpture and immersive installations that explore themes of identity and resilience.

The Maui Arts and Cultural Center presents two free Starry Night Cinema screenings on Sept. 15 and 16, featuring “Trolls World Tour,” and “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.”

The 16th annual Kū Mai Ka Hula competition, Maui’s premier adult hula competition, returns to the Maui Arts and Cultural Center Sept. 8-9.

The Green, a popular reggae band known for combining diverse musical styles with indigenous Hawaiian references, will be performing alongside Teddy Swims, and Keilana at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on Sept. 3.

Award-winning comedian and actress Iliza Shlesinger will be performing live at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on July 27.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center announced the addition of singer-songwriter Alx Kawakami in a solo concert streaming Saturday, June 19.

The afternoon will include trivia games, musical performances by Shea Butter & the Cream, lessons on how to ‘Drink at Home Like a Pro” with Maui Brewing Co. founder Garrett Marrero and MBC Brew Master Kim Brisson-Lutz, and more.

The concert will be held at the MACCʻs Castle Theater on April 17 at 7:30 p.m.

“Rink Life combines theater, physical comedy, postmodern dance, and social commentary that nods to the visual aesthetics and social dynamics of 1970s roller rink culture.”

Concert will be held on Saturday, March 21 at 7:30 pm in the McCoy Studio Theater.

The show is described as a lively comedy, part scripted, part improvisational that is “more like a theatrical party.”

Goitse to make Maui debut on Thursday, Feb. 27 in the Castle Theater.

Event to include live pre-show entertainment and a free keiki art activity. 

Presented by the Leela Dance Collective, SPEAK features the world’s leading female Kathak dancers and iconic Tap dancers, joined by the world’s leading Indian classical and American jazz musicians. 

Multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winners Kūpaoa and Mark Yamanaka will join forces to for an evening of inspired composition with exquisite harmonies at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center. 

Artist 2 Artist concerts feature special guests Johnny Valentine, Paula Fuga, and Keola Beamer.

“Aspen Santa Fe Ballet has come to epitomize the contemporary-classical genre through its deep commitment to curating new ballets while cultivating choreographic talent. This has resulted in a catalogue of adventurous repertoire and a European sensibility glossed with American ebullience,” a MACC press release read.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s popular ArT=Mixx series, a fusion of performing and visual arts elaborating on ideas in the current exhibit in Schaefer International Gallery will be held on Feb. 1.

Shimabukuro is slated to perform at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center alongside members of his trio in March.
