As Lānaʻi deals with the highest seven-day average of daily new cases in the state, Maui County’s administration said it will continue to make COVID-19 testing accessible. “The greatest need we see moving forward is testing,” Maui County Deputy Managing Director Josiah Nishita said.

The service assists customers who have found it difficult to visit DMVL offices during normal weekday hours.

A new Paratransit Advisory Committee being formed to improve paratransit travel is seeking members.

The Department of Liquor Control will offer its certification exam and class on July 13, 20 and 27 in Kahului. The exam and class are being offered for first-time employees of liquor establishments who are being required to obtain the card to be employed and for those whose certification cards expired prior to March 1, 2020.

An additional $14.2 million will be allocated to Hawaiʻi under the American Rescue Plan to provide emergency housing vouchers for over 700 people and families who are experiencing or at risk of becoming homeless.
