A newly opened bicycle shop in Lahaina is giving away over 100 bicycles on a first-come, first-served basis to Maui residents who have been displaced by wildfires. Two events will be held to distribute the bicycles, on Saturday, April 20 and Saturday, April 27 at Krank Cycles’ Lahaina location.

Oʻahu’s own Tumua, is bringing his national “Warrior Tour” to the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater on Friday, July 12 at 7 p.m.

After a hiatus due to COVID-19 closures, the East Maui Taro Festival is back to showcase the best of Hawaiian culture, cuisine, and the community of Hāna, Maui. The 28th event returns on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hāna Ballpark.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theater will welcome Wanda Sykes for a night of entertainment on her “Please and Thank You Tour” on Friday, April 5, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The February Kīhei 4th Friday Town Party will take place at Azeka Shopping Center Mauka on Feb. 23 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Iration, a reggae-rock group formed in Isla Vista, Calif., will perform at the Alexander & Baldwin Ampitheater at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on March 1 at 6 p.m.

A family-friendly presentation of “Peter and the Starcatcher” will run at the Historic ʻĪao Theater in Wailuku for three weeks in a row, starting Feb. 23, 2024.

An in-person networking event presented by Maui TechOhana featuring a guest speaker from Pacific Disaster Center will take place on Feb. 22, starting at 5:15 p.m.

Registration is open for the 13th annual Maui 5K Run and Walk, set to take place, rain or shine, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on March 3, 2024. Participants will receive medals and T-shirts honoring Lahaina.

The Wall That Heals, the largest replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall that travels the country, arrived at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku on Feb. 8, marking its first-ever visit to Maui.

“Celebrating Songs & Stories on Distant Shores,” an intimate evening celebrating friendship through stories and songs will take place inside Castle Theater this Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center has announced it will broadcast The Big Game on two large screens Sunday, Feb. 11. The game starts at 1:30 p.m. and gates open at noon.

Lahaina Galleries at The Shops at Wailea is inviting local and visiting ʻohana to an artistic experience at Maui’s 22nd Annual Art of Aloha, taking place on Sunday, Jan. 28, from noon to 3 p.m. Refreshments and light pūpū will be served.

James Taylor and his All-Star Band will perform at Maui Arts and Cultural Center on May 5. The show will take place at the A&B Amphitheater and Yokouchi Pavilion.

The Nisei Veterans Memorial Center will host an evening with Willie Ito on Dec. 8, honoring his journey from internment during World War II to a distinguished career in animation.

The public is invited to celebrate arts, storytelling, and Maui’s cultural heritage on Nov. 1, featuring performances inspired by the stories of water-woman Aunty Sally Ann Delos Reyes of Lahaina.
