Maui Health donates 4,600 pounds of turkey and rice to Maui Food Bank

Maui Health continued its annual holiday tradition of giving by donating more than 4,600 combined pounds of turkey, vegetarian roast, and rice to the Maui Food Bank. The donation was delivered on Monday, and included nearly 250 frozen turkeys and vegetarian roasts, and a full pallet of 15-pound bags of rice.

Amy Hānaialiʻi: A Pālehua Christmas holiday concert, Nov. 25

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center will kick off the holiday season in style with its presentation of Hawaiʻi’s top-selling female artist ever, Maui’s own Amy Hānaialiʻi. The concert is in Castle Theater, Saturday, Nov. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. online only to MACC members Thursday, Oct. 19 and to the general public Friday, Oct. 20.

2023 Hawaiʻi International Film Festival returns to Maui, Oct. 27-29

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents a return to Maui of the Hawai‘i International Film Festival (HIFF) with six feature films, a program of six short films, and a showcase of four documentaries. All screenings will take place in the MACC’s McCoy Studio Theater starting Friday, Oct. 27 and concluding Sunday, Oct. 29.

A return to Maui for Haunted Hawaiian Ghost Stories with Lopaka Kapanui, Oct. 25

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents Lopaka Kapanui, a storyteller favorite returning to Maui to present his Haunted Hawaiian Ghost Stories. The event is FREE to the public in Castle Theater, Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. Registering in advance is required and is available online only starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3 at MauiArts.org.

Sentry gives additional $377K to support Maui wildfire recovery

Sentry, a mutual insurance company, is donating $377,616 to Maui Food Bank and Maui United Way as the community continues to work through the aftermath of the Maui wildfires.

Jack Johnson’s Songs for Maui – Live Benefit Album out Sept. 15; performance Sept. 18

In support of those affected by the tragic and life-altering fires on Maui, Jack Johnson announces Songs For Maui, a live benefit album featuring Hawaii’s own Paula Fuga and John Cruz. The album is digitally available on Sept. 15. On Sept. 18, Johnson and his band will perform an intimate benefit concert at The Republik in Honolulu, along with special guests Paula Fuga and John Cruz. All proceeds from the Songs For Maui album and The Republik show will benefit fire relief efforts and help provide ongoing support for Maui. Tickets go on sale Sept. 8.

Maui Family YMCA teams up with Maui Food Bank to serve as a food distribution site

The Maui Family YMCA is excited to announce its partnership with the Maui Food Bank to establish a regular food distribution site at its facility in Kahului. Beginning this month, on Sept. 15 and ongoing every third Friday of the month, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., the YMCA will be offering fresh produce and nonperishable items to the public. Maui Family YMCA is located at 250 Kanaloa Ave, Kahului.

Duo Diorama concert fundraiser for Maui relief, Aug. 19

Ebb & Flow Arts presents Duo Diorama – Minghuan Xu, violin, and Winston Choi, piano – in a concert at Keawalaʻi Congregational church in Mākena on Saturday, Aug. 19, with donations raised to support Maui disaster relief. Regency Theatres in Lahaina lost to fire; partners to raise funds for Maui Food Bank

With the devastation caused by the recent Maui fires, Regency Theatres who lost its movie theater on Front Street in Lahaina, is hosting a fundraiser for the Maui Food Bank.  This weekend, Friday through Sunday, Aug. 18-20, 2023, 20% of all revenue including Concession and Box Office Ticket sales (at select Regency Theatre locations) will be donated to the Maui Food Bank to assist with disaster relief.
