At two major events this month, the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau plans to highlight the APEC conference as an example of Hawaii’s ability to host large-scale meeting.

Randy Clark, Sales Manager, Four Seasons Lanai is among twelve Hawaii executives who have earned the meetings industry’s highest designation – Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) – enhancing their credentials to secure new business opportunities for their organizations and the State of Hawaii.

Starting today, an estimated 300 professional meeting planners will take part in the 14th Annual Pacific Rim Incentives & Meetings Exchange (PRIME) conference, which runs June 8-13 at the Hawaii Convention Center, and ends with neighbor island “site inspections” and tours.

Sales teams from the Grand Wailea and the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort & Spa are busy this week joining the Hawaii Visitors & Convention Bureau (HVCB) and the Hawaii Convention Center (HCC) at the Springtime Expo in Washington, DC where they hope to bring home more Maui meetings and convention business.
