Here on Maui, visitor spending grew by 6.1% in February to $429.8 million, fueled by an increase in visitor days (+6.3%).

Entering 2018, the report shows positive signs for the economy, including the financial sector distributing bonuses and a raised minimum wage rate.

Visitor spending on Maui grew (+6.8% to $423.7 million) in March 2017, boosted by increased daily spending (+6.7% to $217 per person).

On Maui, per person daily spending increased (+9.3% to $234), leading to an overall growth in visitor spending (+8.3% to $14.3M per day) in February 2017.

Visitor arrivals on Maui increased (+1.5%) in January 2017 year-over-year, but a shorter length of stay resulted in no growth in visitor days (+0.3%).
