Public Hearing on Maui for Proposed Cable Transfer

The companies are seeking approval of the indirect transfer of control of Oceanic’s cable television franchises from Time Warner Cable to Charter.

Oceanic Update: Internet/Cable Service Restored to Thousands

Oceanic Time Warner Cable’s general manager for Maui County, Rick Colletto, said the incident resulted in a severed cable to one of the company’s major fiber trunks, affecting a few thousand customers including Paradise TV in Kahului, and customers as far away as Hāna. That’s because one of the lines extends up to Makawao and Haleakala, and is relayed over to East Maui.

Oceanic Opens in Maui Lani Village Center

Maui residents woke up this morning to a black screen with a message from KITV4 which read, “The Ownership of KITV has forced us to stop carrying this channel.”
