The House Committee on Labor will hear public testimony at 9 a.m. Tuesday on a bill aimed at recruiting and retaining police officers in Hawaiʻi.

Maui police officers responded to a call about 12:24 p.m. regarding a discovery of what appeared to be a grenade along the shoulder of Hansen Road.
