Spoon & Key Market Wailea announced a collaboration with the Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) to offer an auction item at the 27th Maui Calls gala, taking place on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025: an exclusive private dinner for six guests at the Wailea beachfront home of legendary talent manager and culinary pioneer Shep Gordon, featuring a menu crafted by acclaimed Maui chef, Christopher Kulis, co-owner of Spoon & Key Market in Wailea.

More than 500 guests gathered at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua last weekend for the 2025 ʻAipono Restaurant Awards, recognizing top chefs, restaurants and hospitality professionals across the island.

The Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents multi-faceted singer/songwriter A.J. Croce in concert with his band in Castle Theater Sunday, May 19 at 7:30 pm. The concert is in celebration of two of his father Jim Croce’s legendary albums, “Life and Times” and “I Got A Name” in addition to songs from “You Don’t Mess Around With Jim.” He and the band will also share some of A.J’s own tunes and songs that influenced both him and his father.

Today, four-time GRAMMY Award Winners and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers, The Doobie Brothers, have released a new single “Lahaina” along with a music video to provide aid and support to Maui following the August 2023 wildfire disaster.

In response to the devastating wildfires and immediate needs in the community, media moguls Oprah Winfrey and Dwayne Johnson announced the establishment of “People’s Fund of Maui” to distribute cash directly to those who were displaced and affected by the fire. The fund is launching with an initial $10 million donated by Winfrey and Johnson and a call to action for others to contribute to this meaningful and ongoing relief effort. 

The Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism hosts its first-ever Made in Hawai‘i Branding Workshop at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

The recent passing of Maui restaurateur, Mark Ellman, has left a void in the culinary community and a legacy of life and love that he poured into his creations.

Maui resident Shep Gordon, known for his years as a Hollywood agent to the stars, was the special honoree at a signature event of the Hawaiʻi Food and Wine Festival held over the weekend at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.

Gordon was the centerpiece of the film Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon directed by actor and comedian Mike Myers, which made its Maui premier at the event last night.

Festivities surrounding the 2014 Maui Film Festival are planned and ready to be rolled out with screenings and special events taking place June 4 to 8, 2014, in Wailea.

The person appointed to the post would be tasked with dual responsibilities in attracting productions to the county and promoting local film production in the community.
