3.0 Quake Reported Near Waimea on Hawaiʻi Island

The Hawaiian Volcano Observatory reported a 3.0 preliminary magnitude earthquake at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, about five miles NE of Waimea, on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue any advisories in association with this event.
