For two former Maui Interscholastic League players — Kalei Adolpho and Ginger Long — Friday’s reunion before family and friends resembled a spiritual awakening.

A sold-out crowd of 2,400 arrived at War Memorial Gym early and stayed late Friday night to see a rare “live” performance by the Rainbow Wahine.

A traffic pattern has been established to accommodate two events happening this Friday in Wailuku. To reduce confusion, and ensure safety, the County of Maui will close the gate between the two gyms at the base of the hill on Halia Nakoa Street.
