On Tuesday, the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission approved an amended power purchase contract between Kaheawa Wind Power, LLC and Maui Electric Company.

Historic Hawai‘i Foundation (HHF) has announced five additions to the list of the Most Endangered Historic Places in Hawaii, including Ka’a Ahupua’a on Lanai, which is also the site of a planned wind farm.

Yesterday, Sempra Generation, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy, announced that it has entered into a 20-year contract to sell 21 megawatts (MW) of wind energy to Maui Electric Company from the Auwahi Wind project on the Ulupalakua Ranch.
