Two Water Shutdowns Scheduled for Lahaina 1/6-1/8/09

Contractors will work on a tie-in for fire protection and water service on Lower Honoapiilani Road in Lahaina on Tuesday night, January 6, 2009, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, January 7, and again on Wednesday night, January 7 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday morning, January 8.

Customers on Lower Honoapiilani Road from the intersection at Hoaka Place to Honokowai Beach Park, and on Haku Hale Place will have no water or very low water pressure during this time.

In addition, Lower Honoapiilani Road will be closed to through traffic in the vicinity of the 3700 block from 8:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, to 6:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2009.

Motorists are asked to use extreme caution in the area or take a detour if possible.  DWS customers are requested to call the 24-hour service line (270-7633) only if a water problem occurs.
