Former Maui Police Officer Indicted on Drug and Theft Counts

A former Maui Police Officer was arrested on Tuesday following a grand jury indictment on various drug and theft counts.  28-year-old Allison Moore was arrested on March 16, 2010 after being indicted on February 19, 2010 for various theft and drug counts.

The indictment included:  1 Count of Attempted Theft I; 2 Counts of Theft II; 7 Counts of Promoting a Dangerous Drug III; 7 Counts of Tampering with Physical Evidence; 7 Counts of Forgery II;  and1 Count Prohibited Fixing of Tickets.

Moore was arrested on the warrant in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was residing and was extradited back to Maui.  Moore posted bail, which was set at $150,000 and has since been released from custody.

Moore began her career with the department on August 16, 2004, and resigned on September 16, 2009.

Due to pending prosecution on Moore, no other details about the cases will be released at this time.
