Motorists advised of inoperable traffic lights on Mokulele Hwy

6:20 a.m. 7/21/10: Motorists are advised to drive with caution on the Mokulele Highway this morning because of inoperable traffic signals.  Maui Police are directing traffic at several points along the highway including intersections at Hansen Rd., the Central Maui Baseyard and at the Animal Shelter.  Maui Electric Company has been working to restore power since around 1 a.m.  MECO expects to have power restored within approximately 5 hours.
