Central Maui Skate Jam, latest in county series

The latest in a series of county sponsored summer skate jams takes place today from 3-6 p.m. at Keopuolani Skate park in Central Maui.  The event is free and open to all ages and skill levels.  Each skate jam features skateboard lessons, contests and activities, as well as music and games.

Participants should bring a skateboard; helmets and protective equipment are recommended. All participants under 18 must have a parent sign a waiver at the event. Additional skate jams will be held on Molokai on August 28^th, Lanai on September 11^th and in Lahaina on September 25^th.

HANA:  Saturday, July 31 from 2-5 p.m. at Hana Community Park
CENTRAL MAUI:  Friday, August 20 from 3-6 p.m. at Keopuolani Skate Park
MOLOKAI:  Saturday, August 28 from 2-5 p.m. at Molokai Skatepark
LANAI:  Saturday, September 11 from 2-5 p.m. at Lanai County Gym parking lot
LAHAINA:  Saturday, September 25 from 4-7 p.m. at Front Street basketball courts
