4.0 Eathquake off Mauna Loa, NO tsunami expected

A 4.0 earthquake occurred off the Southeastern flank of Mauna Loa on the Big Island this morning (Sunday October 3, 2010).  The quake occured at 9:39 a.m. at the 19.2 North and 155.5 West coordinated.  Officials with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Ewa Beach say no tsunami is expected, however, some areas may have experienced shaking.
