Council candidates for West Maui discussed what kinds of transportation options, plans and priorities they support to promote open traffic flow into and out of West Maui.  The question was part of a candidate forum on Monday (October 18, 2010) hosted by the Kahului Rotary at the University of Hawaii Maui College campus.  The Honoapiilani Highway presents a number of traffic and commerce challenges including beach front erosion, fire closures, and accident investigations.
