Let’s get Fluffy!

“I’m not fat, I’m fluffy”

This is the tag line for one of the most hilarious comedians you will ever see.

Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias has been featured on his own Comedy Central special, and is about to grace the MACC’s Castle Theatre this Saturday night at 7 pm.

Although he doesn’t hail from Hawaii, “Fluffy” is known for wearing a XXX Hawaii shirt at his shows. He’s got the aloha spirit dripping out of his twinkling eyes.

You simply must check out one of his electrically hilarious segments on Youtube. If there is any doubt that you need to be at this show on Saturday, it will be erased. You will reschedule all prior engagements. You WILL be giddy in anticipation of a night where you laugh and laugh and LAUGH!

Bit after bit, this comical storyteller sprinkles his tales with freakishly realistic sound effects, funny accents, hysterical facial expressions, and comedic timing that is priceless.

Gabriel started off his comedy career focusing on his two most obvious personal attributes – his weight and his ethnicity (XXL, and Latino). He makes a lot of jokes at his own expense using these generalizations, but somehow it just never gets old. His storytelling keeps you on the edge of your seat, giggling all the while, even before the punchline hits.

One of his funniest stories (who can choose?) is about how hearing his girlfriend coo the word “chocolate cake” over the phone is like phone sex for him. His passion for cake is a theme that has become one of his trademarks. Ironically, the star just discovered that he is diabetic, so the dozens of cakes brought to his shows by fans will have to find other homes.

An overnight comedy rockstar, Gabriel started 2009 on a club tour, and finished it playing huge packed theaters. With dozens of Youtube videos, several pushing the 4 million viewer mark, he often tells a joke, and the loyal audience shouts the punch line as though they are chanting the chorus of their favorite song.
