Details of Abercrombie Schatz confirmation ceremonies finalized

Gov.-Elect Neil Abercrombie and Lt. Gov.-Elect Brian Schatz have released details of their planned confirmation ceremonies on the neighbor islands including times and locations.

The Molokai Event takes place next Wednesday, December 8th from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kalanianaole Hall in Kalamaula.  Seating and parking is limited.  The Lanai Event will be held next Thursday, December 9th from 9 to 11 a.m. at the ILWU Hall in Lanai City.  And the Maui Event takes place Saturday December 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lahainaluna High School Football Field.

The theme of the celebrations is “E Ho`omalu O Hawai`i,” which means “To Protect Hawai`i.”

The neighbor island confirmation ceremonies follow the official inauguration and swearing in event on Oahu, set for Monday, December 6th, 2010.
