Maui Slack Key Masters Concert features Grammy Award Winners

The next edition of the Monthly Slack Key Masters concert will feature Grammy Award Winning Producers Daniel Ho and host, George Kahumoku Jr.

The December edition of the show takes place Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center, McCoy Studio Theater.

The show opens with multiple Grammy Award winner and master slack key guitar player Kahumoku, who relates anecdotes of his life and music at the beginning of each show. The featured guest for December is multi-Grammy Award winning producer, Daniel Ho, who has recorded 18 CDs. His repertoire includes a variety of styles from jazz to classical, slack key to ‘ukulele, and Hawaiian hymns to contemporary stylings.

Tickets are available at the MACC Box Office at 242-SHOW (7469) or online at MauiArts.org. Tickets are $25 for standard and $45 VIP, (which includes a sound-check at 6:30 pm and talk-story with artists).
