The island of Kauai could be the first in the state to experience wet weather this week. The National Weather service issued a Flood Watch for the Garden Isle as flash flooding becomes possible through Friday.

Forecasters say an approaching front from the west combined with an upper level trough will lead to unstable conditions across Kauai County beginning Thursday morning.

There’s a chance of locally heavy rainfall and thunderstorms over the next two days that could produce flash flooding conditions for Kauai County.
