(Update: 8:44 p.m. Thurs 12/9/10)

A Flood ADVISORY was extended for the island of Oahu until midnight. At 8:36 p.m., radar showed moderate to heavy showers developing over the central and northern portions of Oahu.  Showers were moving northeast at 20 mph.

The National Weather Service says areas in the advisory include Punaluu, Turtle Bay, Waialua, Pupukea, Mokuleia, Laie, Kahuku, Hauula and Haleiwa.

A Flash Flood WATCH remains in effect through tonight for Kauai and Oahu.  Maui and the rest of the state were placed under a WATCH that started at 6 p.m. Thursday and will continue through late Friday night.
