Stir Fry Ingredients

  • Two pounds boneless shoulder or tenderloin pork, cut into small cubes
  • One half cup cornstarch
  • Six tablespoons oil
  • One egg, beaten
  • Two green or red peppers, cut into small pieces
  • One onion, cut into slices
  • One package snow peas or sugar snap peas

Begin by combining all the ingredients for the sweet and sour sauce and set aside. Next, dip the pork pieces into the beaten egg and roll the coated pork in cornstarch, shaking off the excess. Add two tablespoons oil to a hot skillet or wok and add the coated pork. Cook five to seven minutes or until evenly cooked and browned. Remove pork and add peppers and onions, frying until tender crisp. Add the peas and then stir in the sweet and sour sauce. Combine all ingredients until the sauce thickens and the pork is heated through.

Classic Hawaiian Pork

  • Medium-sized pork loin, rolled and tied
  • Six whole cloves
  • One half teaspoon each nutmeg, paprika
  • One quarter cup ketchup
  • Two tablespoons each orange juice, honey, soy sauce and lemon juice

Broil roast for about 20 minutes or until it is brown. Push the cloves into the pork and place the roast in a slow cooker. Sprinkle the nutmeg and paprika over it and then, with the remaining ingredients, mix them together and pour over the roast. Cover and cook four to six hours on high or 10 to 12 hours on low. Remove the meat from the slow cooker and thicken the juices with about one to two tablespoons of cornstarch and water until they have thickened.  Pour the sauce over the pork before serving.
