Hana Hou! Second Elton John Maui concert added by demand Thursday, Feb. 24, 7 p.m.

Due to overwhelming demand, a second Elton John concert has been added on Maui.  The initial concert was announced for Friday, February 25th.  The added 2nd show will take place on Thursday, February 24, 2011, also at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center.

Elton John to perform in a second Maui-only concert on February 24, 2011. The initial concert date of February 25, 2011 still stands. Both concerts celebrate the new MACC Yokouchi Pavilion.

“The response for tickets to see Elton John in the new Yokouchi Pavilion has been extraordinary,” said Art Vento, President & CEO of the MACC. “We are extremely pleased to learn that Elton John has agreed to add an additional concert. Hana Hou Elton!”

The “Greatest Hits Live” concert, features number one chart hits and classic album tracks from throughout Elton’s incredible five-decade career.

Tickets for MACC members went on sale for the Feb 25 concert earlier this week.  Sale to the general public for both concert dates begins this Saturday, January 15th at 10AM.

Tickets are $77, $97, $152 & $252 and will be available online at mauiarts.org/tickets, at the MACC Box Office, or charge by phone at (808) 242-SHOW (7469). A service charge is added to each ticket and there is a six ticket limit per customer for the general public.

Elton John’s band includes:  Davey Johnstone on guitar, Bob Birch on bass, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums, and Kim Bullard on keyboards.  Classic songs include  “Your Song”, “Daniel”, “Rocket Man”, “Bennie and the Jets” and many more including selections from The UNION, featuring Elton John and Leon Russell.
