South Kihei Road is now OPEN in both directions. It was closed for about 45 minutes beginning at 7:05 p.m. between Uwapo and Leilani because of a traffic accident. The road was reopened at 7:50 p.m.

Maui Police closed a portion of South Kihei Road tonight following a motor vehicle accident in South Maui. South Kihei Road was closed at 7:02 p.m. between Uwapo Road and Leilani Street. There is no estimated time for when the road will be reopened. We will post updates as they become available.
