The Hawaii State Dept of Transportation announced road work single lane closures on Maui highways and roads for the week starting Sunday, February 20.

Lane closures may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.
Closures include the following:
HANA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 360) —
- HAIKU-PEAHI. Intermittent alternating single lane closures of brief duration on Hana Highway (Route 360) in both directions between Manawai Place and Oili Road, for work site at Ulumalu Road intersection, on Tuesday, February 22, through Friday, February 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., daily, for drainage improvements work. There may also be brief closures of Ulumalu Road. Flagmen will direct traffic.
- HANA. Alternating single lane closures on Hana Highway (Route 360) in both directions between the Oilowai Stream Bridge and Kalo Road (Milepost Markers 29.04 to 30.61), on Tuesday, February 22, through Friday, February 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for pavement resurfacing work. Flagmen will direct traffic.

KULA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 37) —
- KULA. Alternating single lane closures on Kula Highway (Route 37) in both directions near Kalialinui Stream Bridge near Milepost Marker 9.4 on Wednesday, February 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., for bridge inspection work.
- KULA. Alternating single lane closures on Kula Highway (Route 37) in both directions near Keahuaiwi Stream Bridge near Milepost Marker 12 on Wednesday, February 23, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., for bridge inspection work.
WAIEHU BEACH ROAD —
- WAIHEE-WAIEHU. Single lane closures on Waiehu Beach Road in the southbound direction between Wailupe Drive and Makaala Drive, just below the Waiehu Heights subdivision, on Tuesday, February 22, through Friday, February 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, to repair the roadway from damage caused by a sinkhole. Traffic will be contraflowed in both directions during the road work. During non-working hours lanes will be narrowed in both directions and the shoulder in Kahului-bound direction will be closed. Motorists should use caution when driving though this area and expect traffic delays. Motorists are asked to avoid this area if possible and use Kahekili Highway as an alternate route.
