3 Big Names Join 2 Big Bands, WAR and Doobie Bros TONIGHT

This just in: Michael McDonald, Willie Nelson and Mick Fleetwood are all confirmed to join The Doobie Brothers on stage tonight at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s new Pavilion.

Concert tickets are still available at the Box Office (242-7469) and the parking lot at UH-Maui College is open.

Rock-n-roll’s Doobie Brothers and funk phenoms WAR are scheduled to perform tonight, Friday, April 1, 2011 at the new Yokouchi Pavilion.  Combined, the two groups bring four decades’ worth of hits to Maui.

Mega-hits from The DoobieBrothers include, “Listen To The Music,” “Rockin’ Down The Highway,” and “Takin’ It To the Streets.”

Meantime, 70s funk favorite WAR melds music from various genres including Latin, jazz, blues, reggae and rock influences.   Their political edge is delivered with a laid-back vibe in hit songs that include, “Low Rider,” “Cisco Kid,” and “The World Is A Ghetto.”

Ticket prices are: $45, $65, $85, with a limited number of $125 premium seats and table seating available.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.
